For the second successive day at the 139th Open, Lee Westwood has been left to rue what might have been after posting a round of 17 pars and just one birdie. Herne Bay golfer Steven Tiley has made a dream start at the Open Championship, carding a first-round 66 to sit six-under-par as one of the front runners. Tiley, representing Royal Cinque Ports in Deal, made the perfect start at St Andrews as he birdied the first and he then picked up a shot at both the fifth and sixth holes. Korea’s Jin Jeong has become the 2010 Amateur Champion and has earned a place in the 150th Anniversary Amateur Championship.
